Gene Long Campaign Kickoff, Fayetteville

Last night Gene Long started his campaign for State Representative District 89 with a fundraiser at the Fayetteville Town Center. His uncle, State Senator (Louisiana) Gerald Long was the guest speaker. Senator Long is a former resident of Rogers. He spoke about the need for leaders with integrity. He described several standards that voters should look for in their candidates. Accountability, availability and transparency. Standards, he said, Gene had and that with Gene, what you saw in public was who he was in private.

Gene's campaign is off to a good start. The fundraiser was well attended and a number of the local Republican leaders were on hand to give him support.
