Fayetteville's Road Impact Fee, Failed

It's a tie! Which in reality means that the impact fee failed. So, what's next? Well, the city still needs to find money to build roads. I'm thinking they are going to be looking at raising property taxes. Yeah, everyone is going to be really happy with that. I think that the city should do nothing at least for a couple of years. If only 4,030 people voted, then Fayetteville's road conditions must not be all that bad. People have a tendency not to do anything until a situation gets really bad. I figure we just wait until people reach that threshold on the roads. When things get bad enough people will turn up and vote for something like an impact fee.
